A SNAPSHOT OF PEGGY'S COVE

We arrived before the fog lifted but well before the tourist buses arrived! Even though it is a very popular tourist spot it has been one of my favourite places to visit on Nova Scotia.

My photos are not post card perfect, but it was hard not to take a hundred photos of this unique little place.


It is such an old maritime place and tiny harbour and it seems not a lot of things have changed over the years!

There are permanent residents and some holiday rentals, BBs etc.





There are visitors like us.





There is the famous lighthouse and the famous mist.


A mist that makes the little lighthouse and harbour look just as beautiful as without and we were lucky to see both scenes.














After Peggy's we went on to the historic port and beautiful town of Lunenburg via the memorial of the Swissair plane crash site just a few Kms from Peggy's Cove. A ver sobering and moving site.
