GOODBYE MY LITTLE FRIEND

Nash watching the plane with Neveah heading to Regina, Canada

After two and a half years little Nash watched his little buddy Neveah fly home to Canada.

There is such great affection between these two little people, not often seen with kids at such a young age.

Nash was devestated not to be on the plane with his "Vaya"

Neveah calls him "Nashy Boy" or "My Nash"!

Lots of tears :(

Lots of love :)

Lots of memories :)

The hardest part of any friendship is when it's time to say goodbye. As much as we might like things to stay the same, change is part of life.   God Bless you lovely family!

Little BFForevers

What are these two gorgeous little people going to do without each other? How can they be such good buddies at the ripe old age of two years?
Soon one will move thousands of miles away
To the other side of the world
And all they will have
Are some wonderful photos
And memories
Via stories told by their mums and dads (and Nannys)
And of course
Skype - YAY FOR SKYPE!!

OUR LITTLE RUNNER

She ran in the 100m and 200m sprints and came in 4th in both events.

She finished off with the 800m and ran a third :)

That is the third best 9 year old 800m runner in the whole of the Lower South East. Well done Bean.

And she also spent the day with her BFF Tyne who was not only the winner of the 800m, but also the 100m and 200m - She definitely has a future in athletics and is off to the state finals! Well done Tynie!

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL

Friends Robert and Sharon were two of the thousands who celebrated NY in Sydney, something I would LOVE LOVE to do some day, can't wait to hear about their experience. We did something much more exciting of course!!!

8:45pm and all is well!! Late night revellers we are not :)The Gross family came laden with an enormous amount of food and we ploughed through that for dinner - they give new meaning to hamburger!!

This was followed by our own "Fireworks" display.
We really churned up those sparklers!

Neveah loved them, Nash was not really that interested, I mean when you are choosing between sparklers and your tractor man, there's really no choice!

Nash did like the finger lasers though.

The Gross' headed back up to the Mount for the fireworks, The Perryman's headed to slumberland! All in bed before 10pm. I did try to stay awake to watch the Sydney fire works but could not keep the peepers open, so the replay today will just have to do.

GIVING THANKS - A CULTURAL EXCHANGE

Last weekend our Canadian friends Kyle and Shauna invited us to celebrate with a Thanksgiving lunch.

We accepted :)

Shauna is a natural with her decorating abilities.

Adding her own unique touch to the festivities!

Check out this turkey!

And of course Master Chef extraordinaire....

Baked up a storm with - turkey with orange-thyme butter, leek & celery stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, carrots, home-made pumpkin pie & apple pie a la mode!

Now, us folks down under were not too sure about the pumpkin pie, but Kyle had made it especially for us, so give it a try we did and were pleasantly surprised! Still not sure why it is such a favourite for our North American cousins, Kyle's apple pie was awesome.

After lunch we played some fun games including Cranium with some awesome prizes!

Andrew (also from Canada) was the winner of the first game and wowee, look at this prize artichoke!Allan struggled with the concept of drawing with his eyes closed! Had to hold his hand over his eyes!!!
Here's the winning team who go to take home the turkey - YAY!

Thank you Kyle Shauna Neveah and Braeson for sharing your special thanksgiving with us.

A "SNAP SHOT" OF A COUPLE OF DAYS

Too tired to blog right now but happy to upload some pics to show what we have been up to in the past 36 hours!
