CHINA 09 - RANDOM IMAGES

A few more snaps, quite random, of our trip to China last September.
There were flowers EVERYWHERE, dressing up the country in anticipation of the upcoming anniversary celebrations.
No trip to China would be complete without a visit to the Pandas.

The face of China.
We took a trip out into the countryside, the farmers live a very simple life.

Food of every description available - this was in the Moslem markets in Shanghai.

Beautiful red lanterns of every shape and size hung throug out the cities and town.
A very very delicious meal of dumplings. Every taste and type imaginable! Y - U - M!!!
Confucius say: "Man who dance not necessarily a dancer"!!!
Everything in China is a piece of art - this is a beautifully decorated walk way.

We met this little man and his name is Harry!

Magnificent oriental gardens (only for the wealthy though).

I though this delightful, the Hutong Pizza Hut! I once heard that pizza actually originated in China? Can't imagine that!
Watch anyone? We have genuine Lolex and many other top brands only $20 (for five that is!)

Remember the life size army of warriors? Below is another much smaller version, the person ordering this lot obviously not an important Emporer!
We visited this site of the Beijing 2008 Olympics - the Cube (swimming) and the Bird's Nest (athletics). Very very impressive.
Loved some of the art, especially this style.
