It's hard to describe the depth of colour that you find everywhere in Broome. It is dry and a lot of the landscape reflects that but when you see colours, they seem deeper and brighter than anywhere else I've been.
The red earth against the blue of the sea and the white of the sand.

Beautiful frangipani flower stands out with the bright blue of the sky and deep green of the leaves.

The golden Aussie wattle against the red of the earth

The sea can be bright to sapphire blue, depending on the time of day.

Each evening the camels take people along the beach at sunset. Hundreds of people come to the beach for picnics and BBQs each evening to watch the sunset.

Which is what we did, joined the tourists (we never classify ourselves as tourists!) on beautiful Cable Beach and watched the sunset! Cable beach is just miles of beautiful clean white sand and we spent a couple of hours body surfing the waves that were perfect for surfing that day.

POM 16 - Me at Cable Beach with our lot! Allan's cousin Rick and family live at Broome, Allan's sister Anne was also travelling through with some friends, so we all met up at Cable for the picnic and sunset.
