Here are the stoneys taking a minute from the hot wind.
Chippies and roof men working side by side.
40 degrees in the shade and it was all action yesterday. The wind from the north was hot and uncomfortable!! But the boys toiled on while we stayed inside away from the heat!
I can't believe the difference a day makes! Monday the girls were surfing, Tuesday it was too hot to contemplate even leaving the house and today it's cool almost cold!!!!! I guess Tuesday was our summer!
The guys below are adjusting the scaffolding.

Texas Sherry, this bit is for you :) The stone used for the house is limestone which is quarried locally. The area we live in is called the Limestone Coast, I guess that explains things just a little, we live by the coast and there is a lot of limestone quarried from this area and a lot of houses here and outside of the Limestone Coast are built using limestone. Try this link for some recent photos of one of the quarries in our area http://scotfield.aminus3.com/image/2008-06-05.html

Thanks for the link to the limestone mine. What a production!
I couldn't decide if the blocks were manmade...like cement poured into a mold.
I like the limestone! Tell the guys that they are doing a great job. This Texan says so! ;o)
