Another picturesque lighthouse greeted us upon arrival to the island.
Unusual to see red sand, PEI has both red and white, not sure of the geological reasons why.
We toured the east side of the island which is very pretty with fishing and farming main industries.
Allan's favourite radio station, played non stop rock and no adverts!
Filling up ready to continue our journey to the central part of the island and a visit to the house of Anne of Green Gables.
It was cute and a relaxing way to spend a very warm morning, the icecream was great! We walked through lovers lane and the haunted forest!

We found cute squirrels along lovers lane. I took pictures and video and showed them to a six year old boy.
He was not impressed..THEY'RE PESTS! He told me.
I almost told him (as he had been fighting with his sister all the way along LL), no the squirrel is cute and YOU'RE THE PEST! But somehow restrained myself and just smiled sweetly and went merrily on my way leaving six year old and sister still fighting!
