BTW our local PBS (Public Broadcasting Station) has been showing the history of Australia. It's been very interesting. We saw two installments back-to-back and are hoping to catch the subsequent episodes. Have yet to find out when New Holland was dropped and changed to Australia. The show is called "Tony Robinson - Down Under."
You will most likely be able to teach me something about my own country! I think we learnt more British and American history than our own at school. Fortunately that has been remidied and Australian history is firmly entrenched in our curriculum. Lovely to hear from you again x
