A LITTLE TASTE OF QUEENSTOWN NEW ZEALAND

On our last day in beautiful Queenstown we finally have internet access! Dave and Allan have gone shopping for breakfast, Maree is still tucked up in bed and I thought a quick upload of a few of Dave's photos (I forgot my download cord!), you will of course be inundated with my pics when I have the chance to blog back home. Our apartment is all that we expected and more, though were disappointed (very briefly) that we didn't have the top penthouse, we are in the sub-penthouse??? at street level, but the views are still amazing over Lake Wakatipu.

Directly behind our apartments is the skyline gondola that took us up the mountain for a delightful overpriced restautant meal - we did have this view below included in the price I guess!

Below is also Lake Wakatipu, taken on our way to Glenorchy a tiny little town further up.

The boys headed of on a jet boat going 40km up Lake Wakatipu, said the scenery was amazing and had a lot of fun along the way.

Allan waving - Dave on his outside.

The gorgeous old Earnslaw, built in 1912 and does the trip from Queenstown to Walter Peake across the lake around 5 times a day for various excursions either morning tea, lunch, BBQ, afternoon tea, dinner, farm tours etc. It is directly outside our apartment and we love the deep sound of the fog horn as it announces it's about to depart or return, watching it glide slowly past our apartment.

Then there was the bungy!!!
Love to say this was one of us at the end of the rope! No Way! We all had our feet firmly planted on the ground.

We did spend two hours rafting the Shotover River, don't have the photos to prove it, we couldn't take a camera and the 'professional' photos were a poor quality and I wasn't prepared to pay $50 for them, BUT I have the scars and a story to tell :)

PS
They would have to hog-tie me and push me off of something like that!
