Happy Birthday Adam Paul

The girls each made a card for Uncle Adam, all very cleverly done with the aid of their own scrapbooking experience!! UA appreciating the humour in Baie's card :)
The very animated kids table.
Not so animated adult's table! But plenty of good food to enjoy - note the towel over Adam's shoulder - is this common in all families??? It sure is in ours, I remember mum always having the tea towel over her shoulder, Allan's mum as well and me too !
Bubba Nash almost six months old sharing his dad's birthday celebrations.

Out comes the birthday cake, actually it was a birthday strawberry cheesecake.

.......and totally scrumptious if I may say so myself, and I may. It contains 3 punnets of strawberries in total and a decadent chocolate biscuit base. A firm family favourite especially with Allan. I only make a couple each a year, two only in 08 -Good Friday and Christmas Night. So far 1 this year for Adam's birthday.

I could say the recipe has been in the family for generations and I dare not share it, but that would be stretching the truth a little. The recipe came from Marita Chuck and can also be found occasionally printed on the label of the Nestle Condensed Milk can, though I have modified it a little over the years!

Another happy birthday, Adam!

Cherry, I've always loved the photos you have in your banner. The first time I found your blog, the little girls were sitting on the beach looking out over the water. The photo was from behind them. I loved it and saved your blog to show my sister-in-law. Then! You changed it! This new photo is precious too.

Let me know if you can't find the cookies scoops. We have kitchen stores here that have more utensils that you can think what to do...yet I want them ALL!

Hi sherry, hope you get to read this, I have no other way of 'talking' back to you! Thank you for your photo compliment - having those gorgeous girls makes photography easy (most days!)and the photo you refer to is my absolute favourite and was used for our Christmas card a few years ago. Thank you also for the offer to shop for cookie scoops for me :) I check out our local kitchen store and if I can't locate any I may well take you up on your kind offer :) Many thanks - Cherry
