Whitsunday's Cruisin' Chapter 8

This should be the final chapter of our Whitsunday holiday! Chapter 7 WAS going to be the final chapter until sister Sandie phoned last night to complain that I hadn't updated the blog for A WEEK!! Not a happy Sandie!! She wanted MORE. So, here's a few more to keep her happy!

What better way to start than the clear water and oh so white sand of beautiful Hill's Inlet.
Hook Island, a place to moor and go a shore for a meal, drink or snack.
Michelle in the distance on the beach with Whitehaven Beach in the background.

Another couple of sunsets or almost sunsets. Late in the day anyway and just beautiful.

The grand finale is the 3 Amigos - The Kongorong Connection!
We three attended Kongorong Primary School together and had a blast catching up, laughing and reminiscing - probably much to the boredom of our fellow travellers.

Photo Shoot for Colgate!!!

These girls surely have the 'Ring of Confidence'!!

Looking good for a little photo shoot and I reckon I could send it in for advertising Colgate or MacLeans toothpaste!Poses soon turn in to hugs and giggles and fun.

Eventually followed by a little tiny weeny teeny bit of boredom!
"Are we finished yet?!"

Whitsunday Cruisin' Chapter 7

My favourite - a ketch moored just a ways from us one evening.

Some of our crew returning from the beach. And another couple of glorious shots
This one looks as though an artist has painted the ocean!

Whitsunday Cruisin' Chapter 6

Here's a real treat for the senses - you know, you can travel the world but I can guarantee that you wont see much better anywhere on earth than our gorgeous Whitsundays. The longer we've been home the more beautiful the photos and memories - take a peek!

This is my favourite - Hill's Inlet with Whitehaven Beach on the far left hand side. The sand is soooo white and squeaky clean. It literally squeaks when you walk on it.
Can't remember exactly where we were here but it's beautiful!
Another of Whitehaven Beach taken from the high point above Hill's Inlet.
Next post I have some GORGEOUS sunsets. Night after night we were treated.

Whitsunday Cruisin' Chapter 3

First day out and while some of us were relaxing on deck thinking just how lucky we were.........
Someone was below deck trying to get a handle on the electronics! And he did so very well, didn't take him long to work things out...
So, back to the top deck, or the back deck or the end deck, whatever it was it was a good place to be - until, as the boat increased in speed so did the amount of water on the lovebird's seat! A nice foot massage almost turned into a bidet!! Or the English translation a "wash of the bottom bits"!
In no time it was drinks at sunset...
....and that, turned into .......THIS. A beautiful welcome to the Whitsundays, a little slice of heaven.

The beautiful Nara Inlet (or Naru Inslet as Christened by Guv!). We spent a night here.A nice little bit of coral to check out.

Now, totally out of sequence, but here we are on the famous Whitehaven Beach. We parked the boat, or to use the correct nautical term, I think we moored the boat. Actually, "we" had nothing at all to do with the mooring process, the boys did that! This is the picture RD has on his office wall (minus A & C) and his dream of cruising to this beach was realised! Thanks for your dream and for taking us with you RD xx
This gorgeous gorgeous beach is part of Hills Inlet, pure clean white sand that squeaked under your feet. One of my favourite spots.
And the old buddies, just a few short years ago we were Grade One and Two buddies at Kongorong Primary School, in a flash of time we are walking on a beautiful beach in the Whitsundays and we haven't changed one little bit!! Nope not one little bit, but one great big bit!!
Cheers, from the Whitsundays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
