LAST DAYS OF THE 2008 SCHOOL YEAR

Our end of year service was great and went off without a hitch. The Year 6s were welcomed into middle school - these are the candles presented to the kids all lined up by the altar. Here's our band - a bit of a mixed bunch this time round! Five staff (2 teachers & 3 admin), one dad, two current students, one old scholar and a ring in!

We have a few fun celebrations in the last two days before school finishes for the year, the kids have finished and we have a couple of days to wind up.

The Principal and Head of Primary put on a terrific breakfast for us all (60+) and we have our award ceremony, the "Frog Awards"- mostly tounge in cheek awards but often recognising our efforts (or lack of) during the year.

Tracy and I received the "Medic" award - jointly this year. Considering we both deal with anything from broken bones to cuts, bruises, bee stings, earaches, headaches, blood noses lots of snot etc etc etc - on a very regular basis, I'm glad it was a joint award! And his year we had three 000 calls, a record for one school year!
We admin girls finished off with a delicious lunch in Trudi's office - the only place to hide away for a little while - a little earlier than our usual 2 - 2:30pm lunch time, I reckon we managed a 1:30pm this day!
