I DON'T COOK RICE

I really DON'T COOK RICE. I buy it, I eat it, but I DON'T COOK RICE - Hubby cooks the rice in his precious rice cooker. Well, he did cook the rice in his precious rice cooker until tonight. Here's the scene: He's at a meeting, I'm preparing our favourite and my most famous Malaysian Chicken Curry and, someone had to cook the rice - I'm the only one home.

Dilemma................ OK, I'll cook the rice.

Here's the rice cooker - something is missing? Could it be the lid?
Here's the lid, or should I say that was the lid.....pulled the rice cooker down, lid slipped, hit me on the top of the head, VERY HARD (hurt like @%*#) and then it hit the floor and shattered glasss all over the kitchen.

I even found pieces of glass in the kitchen sink and on the window sill.

So here's the rice, the rice is cooking, I'm cooking the rice - without a rice cooker?

OK, so I cook rice.

Tomorrow I'm shopping for a brand new rice cooker for THE COOKER OF THE RICE..

Anyway, lets move on to the main dish and the reason for cooking the rice - check out below THE most famous and delicious Malaysian Chicken Curry - WITH RICE.

Want the recipe? It's been in the family for hmmmmm...........

....ever since we discovered the can of ready made delicious curry sauce, available in all good Coles supermarkets. Truly the best curry I've eaten and if you like it hot, buy the red can, if you like it medium put the red and blue together. Apart from the the curry in a tin, the secret to the success of the recipe is to use chicken thigh - not breast and lots of very fresh vegetables.

Bon Apetite..........
