AND SO THAT WAS CHRISTMAS

Our beautiful 2010 Christmas ended with a 'light' meal of leftovers, no-one was capable of eating too much after our sumptous lunch withpudding slathered in custard AND cream AND icecream! A Bev, U Bruce, Kyle, Shauna, Neveah and Braeson joined us cap off a great day. I don't think the kids got to play with every toy they received on the day :) But they tried real hard!

The story books were a big hit, I think the favourite of the day. Neveah's book had pop up birds with the sounds to accompany. Nash's was full of tractors, and that's all this boy needs!

Hope your Christmas was special and you have a whole lot of good stuff to look forward to in 2011. God Bless xx

Christmas Afternoon

When a picture paints a thousand words!

Christmas Day - The Gingerbread House

The icing around the gingerbread house was a bit hard, so a little hammering was required before...
the girls could tuck in!!

The Christmas Concert

This year Baie decided not to perform but to compere! Which she did very professionally
Eventually the show girl came through, unable to resist the pull of the stage!

The dance number was a compilation of several dances perfomed at the school concert this year.

Concluding with the Macarena! Very impressive that younger sisters knew all the moves as well. Now come to think of it, this was the second last dance, the final was to "I get knocked down" by Chumbawumba. We laughed so much forgot to take the photo!

Rori and Nan sang "You are my Sunshine". Almost a solo from Rori!
Tulle narrated the story of Christmas from Luke entirely committed to memory! She was the narrator for the nativity presented at the end of year service at school. She not only memorised her chapters but those of the co-narrator.

Rori and Baie

Put the Nativity together

As Tulle told the story. It was perfect :)

Tulle also sang a few more songs accompanied by Shaun on his guitar!

Our show girl! She loves performing. Even though the concert this year was a little short and there were not costumes (planning time was cut short due to our trip to NZ), it was as good as any other year. Thanks girls for a wonderful afternoon's entertainment xxx

Then there was lunch

Allan cooks the lamb pork and turkey to perfection in the BBQ. The girls are many years experienced at the art of pudding cooking and again it was a super delicious pudding.

Enjoyed by all!

And this year we remembered to roast the potatoes in time!

MORE CHRISTMAS MORNING TIME

Surprise or joy - definitely JOY!!! The robot has arrived to take over his vacuuming job FOREVER!!! THANK YOU DAD :) We've put it to the test and its 10 from 10!

Steve has been waiting since he was about 12 for a new Scalextrics, the old one rusted out in the roof of the Allendale house when we moved back from Adelaide, much to his and Adam's dismay! It has been on his Christmas list since then and finally two decades later his wish comes true. Rori also had it on her list this year - didn't actually appear on Jaime Baie and Tulle's lists BUT I'm sure they will all enjoy LOL!

So let the fun begin,

Constructing the track was easy,

Many hands made light work, Tulle and Carol were right into it!

Daddy and Baie were committed and Tulle and Carol chatted!

You will work it out Steve, just go back to the "destructions"!

And there was more - a gorgeous set of mugs...

Rori's artwork on the calendar for A Carol was super, Carol and Shaun loved it:)

Tulle thrilled with her mini manicure voucher from Auntie Bron and Uncle Adam.

As usual Steve comes up with special gifts on the day. Christmas is all about giving and Steve is especially good at it.

In the past Steve and Adam have come up with some interesting gift exchanges, this year Steve trumped!

With great thought and care and at great financial expense to himself (completely selfless is Steve), he went all out for the family.............see below!

Bron and her Armani sunglasses - how did he know green is Bron's favourite colour

(That's just Steve, he makes it his business to known these things)

Grandad and his Calvin Klein boxers.
(How does Steve know that Grandad doesn't know who Calvin Klein is, but takes the time to introduce him via boxers? Grandad is a jocks man! Oooh, is that too much information?)

Shaun was thrilled with his very expensive Georgio Armani bucket hat! (Hope the texta doesn't leake!)

And the joy of giving continues.....Saving the best for Bro'

OH MY GOSH - Just what he's been dreaming of!!!!

Wait for it..

Yes, you've got it at last Adam...

It's a "DIRTY DANCING" calendar!!!!!

"You're so bad Johnny,(Steve)"

Nash is fascinated with the nursery rhyme book from SJBTR, they have recorded the rhymes in their own voices - just gorgeous!

Baie's first 'heels'!!

And that was just the morning!

Christmas Morn

A gift for Dad from Sandie, Nick and Sophie in Queensland. VERY impressed.
In the unopened box a set of exquisite fine glasses to accompany the whisky!

Then there was the car to put together - engineering degree required!

Chuggington and tracks to put together.

Presents to open.

And more presents to open.

Then came the book,

and all other present were forgotten for a while,
Until DanDan read the story!
Then back to the presents.

Giving this time.

And the construction continued............................. LOL
