PROLIFIC
Miss Pippi was rewarded with a congratulations and certificate from the Principal and Head of Primary before Book Week celebrations commenced last Friday.
She is a prolific reader and writer of her own stories. She's been a "Book Chook" since she first laid eyes on a book as a baby and it has all paid off!

Baie (aka Pippi Longstocking) was awarded a CREDIT for her writing in the National ICAS competitions. She was competing against kids a year older than her, so the credit is more the special - well done Honey BB

ONE OF A KIND
In homes and schools all around Australia
There were scenes like these !!!!
Well maybe not exactly like these!
(and I'm not talking about the terribly out of focus pics!!)
I'm not sure there would have been another karate kicking girl pirate!
On a cold and frosty morning.
And puts the ribbons in.
Making the bows sit just right.
Turning her into the most perfect....
Pippi Longstocking! I don't think so - he's a special one of a kind - kind of daddy :)

A WINTER BEACH WALK
I love the ocean, the beach the waves, I love it in all seasons.
A few weeks ago after a visit with Auntie Bev, our family historian who had some awesome photos of the boat wreck that is almost directly out front of our house, I decided to check it out for myself.
Allan was working on his boat as I left!
It was a beautiful winter's day, sunny and calm with a high tide.
Some parts of the wreck were visible, but there was a huge build up of sand, so only some bits were visible, unlike the photos AB has.

Then I wandered on photographing other pretty, natural seaside and beach side bits n pieces. Admiring the beauty of natures simple thing.

Cuttlefish skeleton
Sponge

Seaweed
Even the kelp is beautiful

Pebbles
Shells
And then this!!
What we humans are doing to our beautiful environment :(
Plastic food bag
Plastic lid
Rope
More plastic
And leaving the best for last

No description necessary!
