WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?

It is almost 1 year since our baby boy was introduced to the family and I was hoping to post some of Nash from birth through to almost 1 year old BUT the computer or blog, don't know which is not cooperating and the three you see below are all I can manage at the moment - so don't despair! "I'll Be Back" !!!

Half hour old...

This one is Easter, so that makes him around 8 months......

Bye for now - be back if the computer survives my tantrum!!!

A BIT OF BEACH LIFE WITH EXTRAS

This is where I grew up, a little coastal village that was named Carpenters Rocks, but sometime later, being either politically or grammatically correct, the 's' was dropped from Carpenters to make it Carpenter Rocks - to me it is still Carpenters Rocks and will always be! This was my front yard. This is where I played and explored with my sisters and cousins, learned to swim, fish, rock climb and all the other things kids do! It's where Allan I lived for the first five years of our married life and where we brought our babies home from hospital to.

Carpenters Rocks sits on the edge of the beautiful Canunda National Park where we headed into a couple of Sundays ago for some 4wd action and bbq in the bush.
We arrived at "Number 2 Rocks" ???? "Where did it get that name?" I hear you ask - no idea! But Steve gathered a bit of flotsam from the beach for extra wood for the fire.
This is the beautiful little bay at #2 where Steve showed he can still skim a rock!

Baie tried her hand or arm at skimming too.

Up on the cliffs you can see the rugged coast line...

But back in the scrub we were all set up for drinks and nibbles before the BBQ lunch.

And time for bush cricket or cricket in the scrub - of course using a tennis racquet and ball! That's cricket in the bush!
The fire was lit..
The meat on the BBQ plate was sizzling.....
And after a sumptuous lunch and being rained on a few times, it was back into the 4WD and hitting the sand..................
and the water!
Baie was driving at this stage!

WITH THE GIRLS AT THE WHEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rori did a fabulous job....

Baie was very cautious at first but sent us up the side of the dunes a few times with much squealing and laughter......

Tulle just LOVED it and often tried to drive and use the UHF at the same time!
We discouraged that! Just drive Tulle.
But it was all good and fun and I have to share something that has changed the Perryman language forever AGAIN!

I encouraged Allan to speed up a bit when we were heading up a steepish hill saying "Faster or we'll be bogged!" Rori's little voice from the back came, "Are we blogged yet Grandad?". Well we are now Rori :)

A LITTLE BIT OF CLASS - BUSINESS CLASS THAT IS

No photos to go with this post BUT we are sitting in the Qantas Lounge in the Adelaide Airport preparing to fly Business Class for the first time :) Yay, now I know how the other half live, even if it's only the other half in the airport at this point in time! We used some FF points for our trip to Brisbane and this allows us a peek into the "other world" of travelling. Here behind the large glass sliding doors we find free computer and printer use, internet, phone, food, drinks (including alcohol Allan just informed me) a shower, tv etc etc - all very nice little perks. We will be making the most of it as it probably won't happen too often - and I'm starting to feel a bit like "Kath" :)

So bye for now - I'm off to finish my coffee and orange poppy seed cake, might take a shower too, use the phone la la laaaaaaaaaaaaa (now I'm feeling like Babe!).

PS Carol, this one's for you!
