THE LAUNCH - MARCH 2010 HERE WE COME!
Friday 28th November a date we will always remember - the launch of Steve's campaign for the elections in 2010 as the Liberal candidate for the seat of Mount Gambier.
His speech was short sharp and succinct.
Followed by the leader of the Liberal Party and Shadow Treasurer Martin Hamilton Smith
Who was both entertaining and informative. It was a great night and hopefully the successful launch Steve needs. Good Luck Steve!
Nash in the Hat!
And About Time Too!
I know I know, it's been a while, but here's a selection of Nash....
With Nan
And Mum
And Auntie Carol
In the bath
Taken just after he had rolled over for the first time
Taking a nap
And just hanging out looking cute in his new hat posted from Tasmania. Think I might post this photo again and not reduce it so much, it's not as good as it should be!!

Hey Fellas! Can I Play?
Can I.......??
Here I come...........and...........

.............and I've got my safety boots on - bought 'em in Ireland a few years ago!
OK - give me a job!
Allan is lovin' hanging with the blokes at the work site, offers to lend a hand wherever he can and wanders around on the second floor like it's a solid floor BUT IT'S NOT it has gaps and me on the other hand get a serious case of weak knees when I get up there and have to have a seat very quickly!!!
View's not too bad either!!
Not that one :)

Not that one :)Each Day There's a Surprise
Each day that we visit "The Block" we are met with another little surprise...today it was roof trusses over the garage!
And all of the long things were up over the whole construction, except the garage because there's no floor there, well there is a floor there but it's not on the roof, it's on the floor, the other parts of the house there is a floor on roof? Get it? Probably not, I've confused myself!!
Anyway, if you look at the photos and not read what I've rambled, I'm sure it will all make sense!
Looking like a house!
That's Tim the tool man and his offsider who's name also starts with the letter 'T' but I can't remember what it is right now - big headache from yesterday still affecting me!! Anyway they are standing in the office. (Might be Todd)

IT'S ALL HAPPENING
The frames went up quickly, followed by the stuff that they stick on the frames!
Then the long bits went on top of the frames and the stuff that is stuck onto the frames and that will make up the floor of the top floor and the ceiling of the ground floor!
Some one - not being me - actually being Allan the monkey took the next couple of photos from up the top on the long things!
.. giving you a bird's eye view of what we will see on the top floor.
Funnily enough, you will see the sea!!!!
You are now looking exactly where my kitchen will be and I can see the sea - Yay! Hmm, hope I get some walls and a roof and some windows and a bench and.............I'm sure I will - keep you posted!!

Hark the Ark
There's something about a parade and the ole Mount Gambier Christmas parade turned it on this year - the best for years!
Below is the back of St Martins entry "Noah's Ark". This is the 5th year and each year it has grown as the story of the Ark has unfolded.
This year we added a rainbow and the kids dressed in the colours of the rainbow and followed the Ark that was full of animals.
Baie was the pink part of the rainbow!
Tulle was a giraffe - here she is with her buddy Josh the lion!
And below with Elliot her partner giraffe...

How cute are those giraffes????
And Rori got up close and personal to the Salvo's Koala Cuz!!

We have some progress
From little things big things grow!!! Starting with a sand castle!
We progressed to a jigsaw puzzle....
Down went the plastic and the steel mesh reinforcement for the cement slab. Are you impressed yet? With my builders terminology I mean? I now know that the steel thingys are steel mesh sheets!! AND it is the reinforcement for the cement - I'm impressed!!
Heading off to work from ABs and Lo and Behold the men in the bright orange shirts were about to pour the foundations.........I zipped back for my camera and.......
.......... got to see the very first drop of cement poured.
Then there was a lot more but I had to continue on to school.
I would have loved to stay to watch the rest of the founds progress but had to wait...
Then finally a couple of weeks later we have half a house, or at least it looks more like it will become a house.
Our front door.

From the north looking into the back of the house, the open space is the alfresco. The floor of the second storey will be the roof of the alfresco.
