Our 1998 Reunion was held at the Bay Club on Friday night and it was just plain great fun. From my team of eight, six were there plus me. There were also another two victorious netball teams and three victorious football teams, so you can imagine that day in September in 1998 when we all won. The celebrations were long and strong and I needed the stories of the night to remind me because I can't remember much past the final whistle of our own game and that is was cold and wet wet wet!!!

Cousin Keely's Deb and the Flowergirls
Here she is looking like a princess...
With big sister.
and the family.

The night begins with her introduction - flowergirl on the right.
Looking beautiful.
Being presented to the Mayor and Mayoress.
The dance.

Little T was also flower girl, here she is waiting for her deb.
Almost ready to make the walk.
and away she goes.

Finally a thank you and a gift.
and the whole family reads the card.
Little T with her special people.

and Miss B with her cousin Keely.

Helloooooooooooooooooooo - Honey I'm Home
Well it's been a jolly long time between drinks! Oops, I mean posts - note to self "I do not drink!"
It has been a while and I finally have a Sunday afternoon to sit and catch up, life has been a bit hectic lately. We've had more social 'engagements' in the last few weeks than we have had in the last three years, so I guess we can relax for a few years now!
So, on with the show.......
Last night at The Barn, Steve was one of the 'stars' in "Swinging with the Stars", a take off of TV's Dancing with the Stars. See Steve below!

Then on with the jive......
A change of costume (Steve changed his tie!) and into the quick step which he did so well!

The judges deliberating.
I wonder if they noticed the Steve and Charlotte banner placed at the front of their table?

Actually it's his Dad who just looks a lot like him!

Here they come onto the dance floor for the first time.
Their jive started with Steve's excellently executed cartwheel - his girls would have been so proud of that cartwheel!
Does kinda look more like Kung Fu Fighting!!!

Though there seemed to be a lot of counting going on! Can't say I blamed him, just 6 weeks of dance classes, once a week to learn the two dances.

Big Mean Chief B
"Nanny Nanny Nanny Nanny Nanny", she can get that out at 5 Nanny's per second - try it and you'll get the idea!
B: "Look what I made!" "It's an Indian Chief thingy!"
N: "Wow, that's awesome, let's get a photo!"
B: "Woo Woo Woo Woo" (or however you describe the word in Indian war cry language!)
N: "Hmmm, you look like you're gonna spew! Try again!"
N: "That's a little bit better, not quite a spew but a bit of a yawn. Now try to look REALLY MEAN!"
N: "OK, Nevermind the mean look, try the woo woo thing again!"
N: "Still looks like you're yawning!'
And that was enough - she dissolves in a fit of giggles! I like that look best!

Family Friends Fun and Food on a Long Weekend
We had Fabulous Family, Friends, Fun and Food this weekend. Busy and "FUN"!
Lets start with Saturday and the Highland Competitions.............
It's that time of year again, highland dancing competitions at the Ice House. I think the one below with Miss B is the fling.
Little T doing the sword dance - it so amazes me how little people can even begin to remember the steps, clap at the right time then as the music changes and speeds up and complete the dance extra fast!!! WITHOUT MAKING ONE ERROR!!!!!!!!
But she does and she did and she got the blue!!

Miss B has advanced to a higher grade and is dancing with the BIG girls now but she still performs so well. I saw her do the lilt for the first time and it was beautiful!
And Miss T won another!
Have a look at the size of the competition.... Miss B far right.
And another blue for Miss T.
Four in total.
And Miss B deserves to be very proud of her efforts too, no blues but lots of fun and learning.

and jusT check out that grin!
Sunday a "Bush Bash" at the Milnes - "I'll just light a fire and throw a lump of meat on, nothing fancy, no fuss la la la la" says Karen!!
See below for the "No Fuss" get together at the Milnes - simply amazing...
First the location, a little bit of heaven amongst the scrub...

Then you need the wood for the fire..........
A bit of conversation...........
....a few nibbles, no fuss of course!
A bit more converstation!
Some relaxation........
Then food of course - and no lunch is complete without Michelle's famous Potato Bake.
Add me...
...and Karen to the mix
And it's a circle of friends!
..... This is the "Circle of Friends" in Karen's garden. More pics of their winter garden in all it's glory posted next!
