Beautiful Bride (husband and puppy too)

Here is Kim (friend and work colleague) and Travis on their wedding day, a couple of very hot Saturdays ago. During the photo taking sessions it was around 41 degrees, but Kim looked cool, calm and absolutely beautiful the entire time.

There's nothing like an apricot picked from the tree in your own backyard

Baie lost her second front tooth at the Aussie Day breakfast, made more room for this HUGE apricot.

Mmmmm I do like it

Tulle's Helping Hand

Tulle is such a little worker, she always sees a job done from start to finish. She climbed the tree to pick the apricots, transferred them to the bucket and finally next visit to making jam. Tulle was sure that she didn't like apricots but after being convinced to take just a little bite, realised that, "Mmm, I do like it" with great surprise.

Our National Day - Australia Day

A gorgeous day at our city's beautiful Cave Gardens, right in the centre of town and the perfect spot for Australia Day breakfast and concert. Mount Gambier really is a beautiful city. It was great to see young and old dressed for the occasion with lots of Aussie flags fluttering in the breeze - and can you believe it - NO FLIES.... Hmm that's a touch un-Australian I think, but they were not missed at all.

The girls were right in on the occasion with their Aussie teeshirts, face painting and flags. We all enjoyed the entertainment, awards and even the speeches. It was great to sing all the old colonial Aussie songs as well as our more modern songs and my favourite "We are Australian". Baie's favourite "Give me a home among the gum trees" was sung on and off for the rest of the day.

We did a lot more "Australian Things" during the day - some things are just too Australian to miss, like and icecream at Badenochs (if you are not a local but plan on a visit, make sure you ask directions to Badenochs for an ice cream); picked apricots off the tree in the back yard (more photos to come); down to the beach for a surf - the girls caught some great waves (sorry no photos) and tea at the club (local Pt Mac Donnell Football Club), you can't beat tea at the club.

HOLA

Hola and Muchas Gracias to Txiki (tiger) for visiting my blog all the way from Espana (Spain). Hope to hear from you again sometime. Ciao.

"Now me riding my bike...."

"Now me riding my bike". Welcome to Rori's blog - So here she is riding her bike, a favourite past time of hers at Nan and Grandads. She rides fast and furious but still has a bit of trouble pulling up and stopping without putting her feet down. There have been more than a few crashes, usually into the back of Baie or Tulle's bikes or hurts her feet trying to stop. Cxx

Put Me On It says Rori....

Rori was checking out the blog and saw the photo of Baie. "Nan put me on there?" she said "The chicken pops" - so here she is with a 'super' case of the chicken pox late last November. The girls all had them one after the other.

Milk lips and a Gappy Smile

Check out this cute smile......she's been waiting for ages for the tooth to finally come out. It's not the first, but it is the first GAP. When she lost her two bottom front teeth the new ones were already at the back waiting to intoduce themselves - this time she has a GAP.... and a little bit of left over milk around her lips to complete the smile.

My Big Sister's Digital Scrap Pages....

Check these pages out, done by sister Linda, an awesome scrapper. The pages are digital and considering Linda's computer experience is self taught over just the last 2 years or so, I think they (the pages) and she (the big sister) are amazing!!!

A few more pages to share......

Wow! It's been 3 days since my last post - adding a few oldies makes me feel like I've been scrapping and I haven't. I didn't scrap one single page during the holidays and now I'm back at work I will most likely get some done in the near future - why am I more organised and motivated when I'm at work???? Cxx

A Page or Two

Perfect Pout is a simple black and white page that took just and hour or so. Even when she pouts, Baie is just gorgeous, all because it was time to come inside and take a bath!! She was having fun outside and a bath wasn't in her immediate plans!

Silent Night taken at Carols by Candlelight. These little girls were singing the carol with such enjoyment, it was a delight to see and listen to.

Ashlee's First Scrap Page

When my niece Ash visited a while back she embarked on her journey into scrapbooking by creating a page of herself at 2 and her baby sister Sophie at the same age both wearing mum's shoes - too cute! She's done a great job for a first timer.

... and here's the Old Mate!

If it's been a while since you have seen Mate, he hasn't changed much, just older and slower (a little like me!). He is eleven and a half human years old - that make's him a pretty old boy in dog years! BUT when he knows he is going to the beach the years just roll away and he runs and swims and barks like he is a puppy again!

3 Gorgeous Girls

Photos of the girls taken a few months ago at the beach, love the natural candid shots when they are oblivious to the camera, although it does look like Rori is looking straight at me!

Tulle and her Wipe Out!

A hot spell and fun at the beach

A welcome relief from the heat of the past few days, what a difference a day makes! Yesterday 39 degrees and today just 23! We had just a great day at the beach yesterday and it gave the girls a chance to hone their surfing skills as you will see from the photos. Baie is becoming more and more confident and Tulle needs a little nurturing at the moment thanks to a couple of pretty big "Wipe Outs" and Rori is just the cutest little 'beach bum'!
